Is it not hypocritical that players everywhere say that the hit rules are ridiculous, and they continue talking about how weak the NFL is getting, and then they follow it up with stuff like, “We are so concerned about our health, that is what we care about…but don’t take our hits away. we want to give guys concussions cause that is what the NFL is about.” Hypocrisy on both sides if you ask me.

It’s the culture of football that needs to change. Speaking as an ex NFL DT who has survived 9 NFL Caused emergency VP Shunt brain surgeries I understand both sides positions.
Players have been brainwashed that only pussies pull up on hits. Owners know that fans pay to see the gladiator aspect of the NFL. One of the reasons we loved to play the game. It is physical confrontation at its most basic aspect, but you can get away with things that would put you in jail if done on the streets.
Unfortunately the threshold to hits have exceeded a basic law of physics. KE = 1/2m2. The kinetic energy players generate is beyond what the human body (particularly the brain) was meant to absorb.
For a look at what many of todays players have to look forward to (and what the NFL has covered up in my case for years), go to:
