Lockout Letter from NFL to NFLPA
March 12th, 2011
The League notified the NFLPA yesterday it has locked out the players of the National Football League as of 12:00 a.m. March 12, 2011.
On March 11, Dennis Curran, Senior VP of Labor Litigation and Policy, writes that if a new CBA is not reached by 11:59 p.m., the League will send a letter to teams to be forwarded to its players explaining the terms of the Lockout.
This was to be done regardless of decertification.
The 12 bullets defining the Lockout include:
- Termination of health insurance
- Banning players from entering any team facilities
- Banning players from having contact with any team staff (coaches, medical personnel, etc.)
- Banning of agents from facilities and communications with teams

I think it is so stupid that the players can’t be in contact with the coaches. They are not just players and coaches, they are friends! Grow up and start acting like adults!!
